Are you looking for coaching or mentoring?

Our group analytic work is probably the most extensive and far-reaching in the UK, linked to a very fine tradition. More recently, we have introduced coaching and mentoring, reflecting our strong interest in organizational processes. You will be treated in confidence, with friendliness and respect from the moment you first make contact with us.

Enquiries and Appointments

Enquiries are answered in the first instance by our knowledgeable practice administrators, after which an initial conversation with a consultant prior to making an appointment can be arranged. Our work is carried out in comfortable, friendly and informal surroundings in the centre of London.

Consultations are usually possible at short notice.  Please call The Group Analytic Practice on 020 7935 3103 or email us. Outside office hours, please leave a message on our answering machine and we will respond as soon as possible.

About Us

Located in Central London at 88 Montagu Mansions W1, the Group Analytic Practice is a private psychiatry practice and one of the longest established (1966 – 2009) centres of consulting excellence.  We offer assessment, formulation and structured advisory programmes, to individuals of all age groups at every stage of the life cycle, as well as to couples, families and children.

What We Do - and for Whom

The Practice has recently broadened its skills base. Having concentrated for some years on longer-term, more analytically based psychotherapy approaches, and having been pioneers particularly in group approaches, we have extended our range of practitioners to include others who bring specific skills and experience in coaching and mentoring. This means that we probably offer one of the most comprehensive services in private practice in the UK. What unites us is our common commitment to the importance of accurate assessment and problem formulation and to the importance of the therapist- or coach-client relationship as the most valuable tool in the overall intervention.
